The Guam Women's Club Scholarship Program administered by the Club's Education Committee. 
Please note: See the UOG and GCC Financial Aid office for updates with GWC scholarships.

The GWC University of Guam Scholarship

​This scholarship is available to current college or university students, graduating high school seniors, and those in the workforce or otherwise occupied who wish to be full time students. It is open for all fields of study.

This scholarship is being offered to US citizens and Guam residents who will be full time students at the UOG, taking at least twelve (12) credit hours per semester. The GWC will pay up to fifteen (15) credit hours for tuition and fees only per semester, and up to twelve (12) credit hours during a summer session.

The scholarship is LIMITED, and only offered to those who will NOT be receiving any other scholarships, for any amount, of tuition and fees, such as Merit Scholarship, Pell Grant, Regents Scholarship, or ROTC. This list is not inclusive of what may be available. Scholarships covering living expenses, books, and other items may be accepted.

The recipient must maintain a 3.0 GPA per semester, and the scholarship will be withdrawn if not met for 2 consecutive semesters.

The recipient must attend one (1) GWC meeting a year and assist at two (2) GWC events a year. Download the fillable file below.

$1,000 Guam Community College Scholarship

MARKETING OR VISUAL COMMUNICATIONS MAJOR

SUBMIT APPLICATION TO THE GCC FINANCIAL AID OFFICE


The Guam Women's Club is providing a $1,000 scholarship for tuition/, fees, books, and required bookstore supplies.  The scholarship is available to a student, male or female, who is graduating from high school and plans on attending Guam Community College or one who has completed at least one semester at Guam Community College.

The scholarship will be awarded for the Fall 2020 semester.

Students receiving this scholarship will be pursing the Marketing major offered at GCC.  The scholarship is based on academic merit, community service, and financial need.

INITIAL ELIGIBILITY AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    Applicant must have completed at least one semester at Guam Community College or is graduating from High School with plans to attend Guam Community College.

    Applicant must be a US citizen and resident of Guam. (Applicant must present proof)

    Applicant must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) listing Guam Community College as a recipient of the Student Aid Report (SAR).

    Applicants must show cumulative GPA of no less than 3.0 as indicated on their OFFICIAL GCC or High School transcript.
    **Apply at least 10 days before deadline to lower cost of transcript.

    Applicant must complete the required essay.  In this essay please address the following:  future goals, community service history, and financial need.

    Applicant must submit two letters of recommendation:  one from a teacher and the other from a non-immediate family member.

    The recipient of this scholarship will be required to attend one Guam Women’s Club meeting and to help with the annual Mardi Gras fundraiser.

    Attach proof of US citizenship and Guam residency.

    Attach the FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR)

After review by the Guam Women’s Club Education Committee, all applicants will be notified.

Meetings

Our membership meets the last Friday of the month August - May. For now, the venue for the meetings will be TBA (to be announced), via our distribution channels - GWC What's App chat group and through our email distribution.
