DONATION & SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
For 70 years, the GWC has been dedicated to increasing the general welfare, health and education of the community of Guam.
Please Donate to help make the Guam community
We accomplish this through:
The GWC UOG Scholarship Program
Established in 1952, this is the longest running scholarship program on island. The first scholarship was provided to Jesusa Cruz San Nicolas, an education major at the Territorial College of Guam. The Territorial College was the precursor of the University of Guam. Jesusa graduated with a teaching certificate and taught for many years in Guam's public schools. Since then, hundreds of students both male and female have taken advantage of this generous opportunity.
Since 1999 the GWC has provided full scholarships to as many as three full-time students each year at the University of Guam.
The GWC Philanthropic Program
Formally established in 2006, the GWC Philanthropic Program provides grants to island nonprofit organizations for programs that serve to increase the general welfare, health and education of the community. The GWC has supported a vast array of diverse nonprofits that provide services to improve the welfare, health and education of our community.
Senior Citizens Committee
Club members donate supplies and visit our senior citizens each year.
Other Volunteer Service
Club members volunteer each year at events that support our community.
The Club raises funds by hosting fundraising events throughout the year. These events provide the community with opportunities to get together to have fun and help us raise money for the betterment of our island.
The Club begins the year with a Fall Fundraiser that raises funds for the Philanthropic Fund in order to donate to island nonprofits.
The Mardi Gras that is held each year is a fun event that the community looks forward to each year. This is the signature event of the Club and supports the UOG Scholarship Fund.
Other events are held for special causes from time to time.
